Earth’s Core May Have Creamy Filling

The earth’s inner core has been of interest to scientists ever since it was discovered in 1936. Imaging it has been difficult, however, because relatively few seismic waves reach it and return to the surface. In addition, the core’s extreme temperatures and pressures are hard to reproduce in a laboratory. Now a new examination of three decades of seismic data is providing a more detailed picture of our planet’s center.

Y’know what would be nice?

A tube of this stuff…

I can’t find it here in Japan and it’s by far some of the best stuff I’ve ever used. The stuff out here is OK but my god does it leave your hair feeling like a warm pencil eraser at the end of the day!

Anyone wanna send me some?

I don’t miss much about Canada, but I do miss one thing… Cinnamon Buns.

Miracle! No one hurt on derailed bullet train
Yomiuri Shimbun / Monday, October 25, 2004 12:14:01 PM
In what was described as a miracle, no one was injured on the Joetsu Shinkansen bullet train that jumped its tracks while traveling at more than 200 kph when the first of the series of strong earthquakes hit Niigata Prefecture on Saturday.
This is the first time a bullet train has derailed since the Tokaido Shinkansen began operations in 1964.

This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don’t get any….a true story… We had a female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn’t, turned to the weatherman and asked: “So Bob, where’s that 8 inches you promised me last night” Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard!
