Don’t Trust Stupid People
OK, so you all know why you shouldn’t trust ugly people, right? Now, let’s talk about why you shouldn’t trust (or at least have to deal with) stupid people.
A woman comes into the store I work at and says “I have a multimedia system”. OK, that’s fine. So she has one of those multimedia center laptops… no problems so far.
“I understand I can use it to look at pictures on a disk on my TV.” OK, that sounds right… since it’s a multimedia center laptop, it probably has an S-Video output on the side or back. “OK” I say. “I also want to see my pictures on TV, but it didn’t come with the correct cables.” Hrmm… something’s wrong here.
I ask “Just what do you mean by ‘multimedia system’?” “Well it’s where you can see lots of things and watch movies and look at pictures and play music. Oh, and it plays DVD’s.” “So, it’s a DVD player?” “DVD player… whatever you want to call it, I just need the cable to watch my pictures from my camera onto TV.”
…. huh? “OK, so the cables for the camera didn’t come with the camera itself? What brand of camera is it?” “It’s a Canon.” That’s odd… usually Canon cameras come with two cables, the cable to hook up to your TV & to your USB port to download pictures. “OK, so you are looking for the video cable, correct?”
With that, she gets a snooty look and says “C’mon Mary, let’s go somewhere else”
WTF? Sorry, but she is the epitomy or technological-retard.
If you don’t know how to use something, and aren’t going to take the time to RTFM, then don’t buy the electronic item. No, just don’t. DON’T!
*for those who don’t know ‘RTFM’ stands for “Read The F*cking Manual”
