Don’t Trust Stupid People

OK, so you all know why you shouldn’t trust ugly people, right? Now, let’s talk about why you shouldn’t trust (or at least have to deal with) stupid people.

A woman comes into the store I work at and says “I have a multimedia system”. OK, that’s fine. So she has one of those multimedia center laptops… no problems so far.

“I understand I can use it to look at pictures on a disk on my TV.” OK, that sounds right… since it’s a multimedia center laptop, it probably has an S-Video output on the side or back. “OK” I say. “I also want to see my pictures on TV, but it didn’t come with the correct cables.” Hrmm… something’s wrong here.

I ask “Just what do you mean by ‘multimedia system’?” “Well it’s where you can see lots of things and watch movies and look at pictures and play music. Oh, and it plays DVD’s.” “So, it’s a DVD player?” “DVD player… whatever you want to call it, I just need the cable to watch my pictures from my camera onto TV.”

…. huh? “OK, so the cables for the camera didn’t come with the camera itself? What brand of camera is it?” “It’s a Canon.” That’s odd… usually Canon cameras come with two cables, the cable to hook up to your TV & to your USB port to download pictures. “OK, so you are looking for the video cable, correct?”

With that, she gets a snooty look and says “C’mon Mary, let’s go somewhere else”

WTF? Sorry, but she is the epitomy or technological-retard.

If you don’t know how to use something, and aren’t going to take the time to RTFM, then don’t buy the electronic item. No, just don’t. DON’T!

*for those who don’t know ‘RTFM’ stands for “Read The F*cking Manual”

As I have just recently found out, don’t trust ugly who have zits all across their face, or at least the pock-marks of a young adolescent that had nothing better to do than scratch his face until his zit’s formed into scars. They’ll get you every time.

As I just found out, a very ugly young guy who probably was dosed up on crack just returned a headset with the plug ripped right off the end. It was my stupidity (or trusting nature?) that made me think “ok, I don’t need to open the box, I’m sure this UGLY person is telling the truth.” Boy was I wrong.

So there you have it folks, don’t trust overly-ugly people. Especially those with backpacks. Instead, give’m a swift kick to the nuts & send them on their way.

Just thought I’d let everyone know that I’m still alive and kicking. I’ll try and do another North American cellular phone update sometime in the near future… perhaps even this evening.

Be on the lookout for it and POST COMMENTS!!! Now that I got my server issues sorted out nad figured out how to fix things on my own, it all works properly and as it should.

Last few comments…

I’m back in school
I’m enjoying my class’s
I owe WAY too much money, but it’s all getting paid off
I miss Japan way too much
I miss the money I was making in Japan WAY too much
I’m having a semi-decent time back here in Canada.

Oh yes, and I hate Canadian cell phones. They suck in so many ways.

As you know, I’ve been taking a couple of university class’s. Now, that’s good and bad. I think it’s wonderful that I’m going further in my education, rather than that crappy one-year diploma from SIAST (oh what a lost year). During that time at SIAST, I got up early every day for a year… I started my education at 6am for weeks at a time (yes, in class, READY to go at 6am) while my friends were having week-long drinking binges. Oh how I wish I would have participated.

I’m only taking two class’s now (International Politics of Canada, USA & Mexico) as well as Geography 120. The first class of Politics is INCREDIBLY interesting. It’s the first class I have EVER been to that I look forward to taking part in… that being said, my Geography class leaves something to be desired. I found that although it’s a 3-hour course, it’s a little difficult to stay awake through since it’s a televised class and there’s a lot of monotone speaking. I hope it get’s better!

Just last class we were learning about the tools of geography. At the begining, we had about 12 people in class… by the end of the night, all but three of us walked out. Plus, the video that we saw was a lovely film from the early 80′s… here’s a couple screen-shots of our video-hosts for the night..

Ron Burgundy in his later years, I do beleive.

This guy’s goatee is rattier than mine!!! YEEP!

Another nice view of the city during a small downpour.

Here’s a nice little view of what I have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. How abosolulty… amazing?

Oh, one nice thing that’s been happening…. I’ve slowly been able to eat more & more spicy food!!! A couple years ago, even a little bit of spicy food (or spicy sauce) would darn-near make me cry, but now I can start to take it! Are my extra taste-buds burning out? Dear god I hope not since my sense of smell sucks!!

Oh yes, and here’s a shot of Dan. Our new ‘bitch’ at work. Good on you Dan for taking all the crap we throw at you… bravo!

I don’t specifically follow Chinese brands of vehicles (or anything else for that matter), but I figured I would share this. This is the Jiangling Landwind Cruiser in it’s North-American standard crash test.

Do they seriously expect to market this crap over here????

Feel free to post your opinions on Chinese brands of vehicles. Let’s not forget that there are multiple Chinese brands currently that market complete replica’s of some of the hottest (and not-so-hot) vehicles that were originally produced in North America as well as Japan such as the Toyota Supra, Chevy Avalanche, and Mazda Miata just to name a few.
