Operation: Spring Strike

This was from April, 2005 in Paintball Paradise in Regina, Saskatchewan. It was the first Mil-Sim I had attended that year and it was quite a nice one too, although a little too much running for me, but that’s why it’s a MilSim I guess.

Over-all it was a pretty good game, I got in only a few kills but I don’t mind that I didn’t take out too many, it was a good game either way that you look at it. That day I fielded my Marui G3-SG1 which did a darn tootin good job I might add! Anyhow, enough out of me for now, I’m going to bed.

Coming home for a quick trip in Saskatoon, I make a stop-over in Vancouver airport. I figure that since I’m usually hassled less if I dress in a nice suit, I would do just that. Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to dress up nice since! FRICK!

Operation: Spring Strike

Well Christmas time is here again and what does that mean? ONE DAY OFF! That’s fine, however tomorrow morning I have the pleasure of being at work for 5am for the ‘Boxing Day Rush’. Great, just what everyone in the world must be looking forward to. Now I get to hand out sub-par products to people who aren’t bright enough to figure out how to use the white-balance. Dandy!

But not all is negative today. I have been able to spend time with my family. My cat woke me up in the morning by crawling up on my bed and putting her rear-end in my face (thanks Muggins..) and I made another payment to my Great Uncle. That much closer to being out of debt, hurrah!

Since today’s a bit of a special day (for obvious reasons), I figured I’d start everything off by putting up a few videos. The first is the last video I made of ‘Day Two’ of my last trip in Japan in December. This video was made on December 13th, just FYI. Enjoy, and merry christmas to everyone!!!

Well it’s one of my last videos of walking around Sakuragicho in December so rejoice one and all. In this little clip, I’m inside of a local bakery checking out some of the drinks like milk-tea, yogurt-drink and a bunch of different buns.

Before opening presents, a relatively new tradition is to have a mimosa. This will have been the very first year where I was asked to open the bottle of champagne. So exciting… and dangerous to boot!

Here’s pops with the G.P.S. that we bought for him. Later on in the day he & our neighbor Murray went outside and played around with it for a good forty-five minutes.

Peter is an old friend of the family who used to be our farm-hand back in the 50′s, 60′s and 70′s. He’s a crotchidy old guy, but certainly kind at heart and more-like my grandfather than simply a friend of the family.

After finally entering into Queens Square Shopping Mall (6 floors of shopping!) we were treated to a nice light show accompanied by Christmas music! It was pretty nice and certainly added to the whole experience.

Oh, and might I add, this looks like it’s going to be one HELL of a great movie!!

I thought it would be a good idea to take an energy-drink before heading off to my final. Recently I found one called ‘Ichi More’ (One More – Japanese) at the local Eastern Market (where I found that mochi). I hadn’t ever heard of it and reading the label didn’t help very much either as it didn’t have most of what I was used to ingesting through ‘genki’ drinks such as nicotine, guaranine and other little tidbits of this and that.

Well, as you can see, I think I should have skipped this one.
