I first saw this video thanks to my buddy Jeff. It was filmed in/around Tokyo and quite a bit of it was put together thanks to blue-screen as you’ll see if you watch. It’s a nifty video and very cleverly made! The scene with the two guards by the way is in a bank in Shibuya.
Y’know, I just love it when those in the marketing department know what they are doing and understand what they are talking about. Here’s the front page of a semi-recent flyer from “The Source” formerly known as Radio Shak. I’ve shopped there for years, however I realize only now that the folks in the marketing department are total and complete idiots.
OK, that picture is fine and dandy…. it’s on the next page in that things get a little “off”….
Excuse me? The “First 3.2MP Camera Phone”? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had my Sharp 903SH for damn near four years now, and you know what? It came out LONG before this piece of crap phone from Rogers.
After finding out that a couple of friends had never visited the Saskatoon Zoo (aka: The Saskatoon Forestry Farm) so we decided to head out. I got a call from another buddy and he and his friend wanted to tag along as well since in all of his twenty-three years of living in Saskatoon, he too had never visited to Zoo. Of course, I don’t blame him as it’s nothing special compared to some of the others around the country!
So off we went… it was a good idea in theory, meet at 2pm and then we’ll drive together. What none of us were expecting were a humidex of 100% humidity and a temperature of +38. I got sun-burnt to say the least. Yea, I don’t think that was the brightest decision I made this year but we still had a good time, saw some animals, got some sun-stroke, sweat about a litre of water. Yes, good times were shared by all.
Of course, the afternoon wasn’t just full of smelly creatures (the foxes) and big pussies (the Lynx) but there were also some cuter animals to be seen, including the ground-hogs and gophers. They know how to put on a show and know that if they act cute, they’ll get rewarded by EVERYONE in the immediate vicinity with food! Smart little devils, aren’t they?
There are also quite a few different birds and poultry products that are running around. From Free-range chickens to mouth-watering peacocks. I wonder how they’d taste in a stew?
Of course, there were some other wild animals roaming throughout the Forestry Farm as well. However these were a little better dressed.
When walking through, you ask yourself “just what kind of a zoo is this? I don’t see any monkeys? No elephants! Not even any tigers!! Well recently two white Bengal tigers appeared out of no-where. We suspect aliens.
Here’s a quick tour of the University of Saskatchewan campus from the Arts building out past the Government building and finally into the College of Education student parking lot. It’s not all that enthralling but it’ll still give you a great idea of the Northern part of the campus!
Another one of those neat little music videos that make you think “hey, that’s kinda cool!” It actually reminds me of those commercials for Nike where some guys play Futsal (similar to football) in a small cage-enclosed course. Come to think of it… it looks like these girls are playing Futsal as well!
And actually, i the first time I ever heard about the sport was from a student of mine in Aobadai’s GABA. her brother was playing in a Futsal tournament that was taking place in Queens Square. I’ll see if I can dig up a photo of the court… perhaps I’ll post it a little later on. Oh, and here’s just some basic nature photos, enjoy them all!!!
While walking through the university, I thought I may as well shoot a bit of a video of one of the new things that were installed using my tuition money and yearly fees at the University of Saskatchewan. In this case it’s the climbing wall next to the PAC center.
