Just incase you didn’t know, Earth had a very high chance of being struck by a meteor. If that wasn’t enough, it was a world ending event as the asteroid was more than 300 meters across and would have effectively wiped out humans and most other life on the planet. That’s the bad news.
The good news is that the asteroid (should it hit – this time) was to strike at about 10am today! However I didn’t feel the earth rumbling, I didn’t see any huge fireball streaking across the sky and I certainly haven’t seen anything on the news. So we are still here and we are still alive. However while the asteroid hasn’t struck us, we still need to contend with the weather here in the city. It’s not something that I’m too happy about, especially considering that –RIGHT NOW– the temperature is -39C. WHY OH WHY do people live in this climate? I don’t know. (cries)

So what can people do while enduring this cold weather from the anti-hell (hmm.. would that mean ‘heaven’?)?  Well they go out for beer with their friends and enjoy some alcohol that will eventually give them a false sense of warmth so they can walk home in the cold. Yes, that is EXACTLY what people do!

This evening, the roster was myself, Moto, Chris K, Johanna, Johanna, Johanna, Monica, Sophia, and a few drunk people (yes, three Johannas!)

I really really really really really do NOT like it when I get snow in my shoes. I like it even less when I’m not walking in snow and it STILL gets in there. How does it do that? It blows in from every angle. Today was -39 with the wind, it’s certainly not much fun. So thankfully I was busy with classes and a meeting today and kept inside. The bad news is that I still needed to get to class.
Either way, on my way back to the car, I decided to film a video going from between the Arts building to the Geology building. Nifty!!
But that’s not all. It gets even better after I walk outside into the bitter cold that could freeze skin in a matter of seconds.
And now for some RAOB. (Random Acts Of Boredom)
