For another portion of a birthday present, the gift of tickets to the Phantom Of The Opera were given. Here’s a few shots from inside the building.

Once a year people will often have a birthday event of some sort, be it a big BBQ, a large celebratory party or just a nice dinner out. For my pops, it was a nice dinner out at a nice Japanese-style restaurant in Saskatoon known as ‘The Samurai’. While Yohei simply tops off at the number one spot for Japanese food in the city (hell, it’s owned and run by a Japanese chef), The Samurai still is number one for presentation with the juggling of knives, etc.
Another nice thing about springtime is that you can see all the great animals… such as the pigeons sitting on the sides of buildings, the birds eating seeds and the cats laying around like slugs.
One of the neat little things about spring is that it makes for some very interesting art, whether it wants to or not. I saw this ice ‘sculpture’ while exiting from a final exam. Let’s not even begin to speculate how that exam went… I know I certainly won’t.
Also with the coming of spring means the lack of snow and the need for snow-tires. But one trouble that arises every spring (and winter) is just how and where I will get my two different sets of tires changed. I can do it myself, but it’s a bit of a pain in the ass, plus I have to be extremely careful since I don’t have the best tire-jack. Enter: Josiah. This new friend of mine has been a life-saver for not only changing my oil for me (which was definitely due!) but also changed my tires in less than five minutes. It would have taken me about 30 at the LEAST.
So, thanks Josiah!!!
And for some reason, my editing software here has decided it’s a good idea to ‘center’ everything I type… sorry.
Oh another note, I made a trip to Regina recently (the next city South of Saskatoon) and traveled down there with my good buddy Ken. We managed to find the BEST Japanese restaurant in the entire province, complete with two chefs who are straight from Saitama (ã•ã„ãŸã¾) who don’t speak a lick of English!
While I’m not the kind to preach or demand others do what any one God demands, I do sometimes find some little tidbits here and there on the internet that make me think beyond the basic form of every-day life. This next web-site is a perfect example. It’s nothing more than music mixed with still images taken around the world and a little bit of text, but it is a VERY nice presentation.
Have a peek, then post your opinions here.
Well sadly we saw NONE of the gophers that were promised to us by the locals, but hopefully sometime soon we will be. Ckwan, Colin, Josiah and I decided to do some target practice in the mean-time!
