It’s certianly better late than never, and my latest cards have come from Keiko ??? and Midori????, also two young ladies that I used to teach English to.  Congratulations to Keiko on her recent marriage and begining a family (6 more months from what I understand) and also congratulations to Midori for starting her new job and finally getting away from the hotel business!

It’s about darn time that I start eating strange and unhealthy foods all in the name of entertainment and reviews.  I haven’t posted a true “Edible” posting for quite a while so why not do another one today?

Todays oddity of the food world is a little Japanese product I picked up at the corner market called “Every Burger”.  I’m not sure why they chose that name, but it certainly doesn’t fit to every burger that I have ever had before and I certainly hope that I will never taste a burger that has the same… ‘flavor’ such as this.

The food value of this treat for children is slim to nil and with good reason.  After-all, it’s a candy of sorts, although I think a child would need to be pretty hard-up for sweets if this is what he has chosen as his candy of choice.  Inside of the package are two mini packs or baggies filled with little cookie and chocolate hamburgers.  The taste is…. off at best.

Each bag comes with eight little cookie burgers.  At first, they have a fairly realistic look to them and I could almost swear that they were filled with meat.  Thankfully my notion is incorrect!  After popping one in my mouth, I get a distinct hit of sesame oil flavor that is overwhelming.  Between the cookie ‘buns’ are a mix of semi-sweet milk chocolate and white chocolate.

The taste on a scale of one to ten?  Four.  Five IF they would remove the god-awful sesame flavor.  But the big question… would I buy it again?

Hello & Good-Day Everyone.

My name is Stevie-D and I hail from Edmonton, Alberta.  I was recently recruited by my buddy Pozzy to randomly throw in a couple articles here and there to his website to which I gleefully accepted even though he thought I was from Calgary, something that everyone knows is a complete insult!  To begin, I thought I would start off by giving you a bit of an introduction about myself for future reference, should I choose to be a guest writer more often.

As i said earlier my name is Steven, I was born in St.Johns Newfound Land in the far East portion of Canada, raised in Halifax (Nova Scotia) and now currently residing in Edmonton simply because the money is great out here!  I spend alot of my time on computer playing a variety of different games and just browsing the net.  I have thus-far spent one year in the Canadian Forces as a reserve infantry soldier and intend on getting back in once this school years done. As that’s pretty much all there is to know about me so i think I will get on with my first guest write-up.

I typically am a pretty mild mannered guy and accept others for who they are, however on occasion I can get somewhat worked up.  But not just by any topics, usually topics that are rather taboo in todays society.  For example, equality . No I am not racist nor sexist, I just think its total bunk, for example if someone gets a job over someone else because of their skin color or ethnic back round or when a person of White-Euro heritage assaults person of African-American it is considered self defence and vice versa suddenly creates a hate crime.  There is truly a double-standard in today’s society and it seems to annoy everyone, short of the ‘soccer moms’ out there who hide their children from the real world. in the back of their mini-vans.

Another thing that really steams me is constant bashing of the Canadian Forces by mis-informed in-breds.  And when people seem to forget *cough*The United States*cough* that we fought in both world wars before they even left their own virgin soil.  What alot of people don’t know is although small, the Canadian Navy is one of, if not the best trained navy in the world.  For example, a destroyer will require… say… the USA 1,000 people to man all the while we can put a Canadian destroyer (style of ship) to sea with half that number of sea-men (and sea-women).  In many training exercises US Admirals were getting angry that our old diesel subs were sneaking up on their top of the line aircraft carriers and “sinking” them.  Score one for the tundra-covered canucks!

So in closing, please pardon me if this has been more of a rant than an interesting write-up or article, but you get what you pay for and this sure was a freebie.  Future write-ups will have a bit more a theme to them.

From time to time, I will indulge in a temptation of mine.  A quick and easy way to my heart…  I speak of nothing more than a Cotton-Candy Blizzard from Dairy Queen.  It is not something I have often, which makes it all the more better when I finally decide to go out and buy one.  Sometimes they are better than before, other times they are poorly made and have nearly no ‘crunchies’ in them.

During my last visit to Dairy Queen, I ordered my standard, a medium Cotton-Candy Blizzard treat.  It wasn’t until I got it home and started eating the frozen dessert that I realized something was wrong… they had given me a penis-spoon.  It’s a shame I couldn’t bring it back and demand a free blizzard or few for mental anguish.
